노아와 같은 믿음
마24:37-39

생명의 말씀

“노아의 때와 같이 인자의 임함도 그러하리라 홍수 전에 노아가 방주에 들어가던 날까지 사람들이 먹고 마시고 장가 들고 시집 가고 있으면서 홍수가 나서 저희를 다 멸하기까지 깨닫지 못하였으니 인자의 임함도 이와 같으리라”

노아는 자신뿐 아니라 온 가족이 한 믿음으로 구원을 얻었다는 측면에서 재림을 소망하고 있는 성도들에게 좋은 귀감이 되고 있습니다. 그는 죄악이 관영한 시대에 하나님께 의를 인정받아 당대에 완전한 자라는 칭호를 받았습니다. 두려운 마음으로 하나님을 경외하고 그 말씀에 순종한 자입니다. 이러한 노아의 믿음을 본받아 우리도 하나님께 인정받는 성도가 되어야만 하겠습니다.

노아의 믿음은 아직 보지 못한 일을 믿는 믿음입니다. 그는 아직 보지 못한 일에 경고를 받았지만 그 말씀을 실제로 믿고 경외함으로 방주를 예비하였고, 장차 홍수가 임하여 땅 위의 인류를 멸망시킬 것을 내다보는 믿음을 가졌습니다. 또한 두려운 마음으로 내세를 위하여 준비하는 믿음을 가졌기에 하나님께선 그 믿음을 의로 여기시고 노아의 모든 가족을 방주로 인도하셨던 것입니다.

“네가 이 세대에 내 앞에서 의로움을 내가 보았음이라”(창7:1) 말씀하신 것처럼 그 믿음이 의로 인정받아 하나님께 은혜를 받은 노아와 같은 사람들은 언제나 구원역사에 있어서 중심인물이 됩니다. 노아 당시에도 하나님께서 노아를 기준삼아 세상을 심판했다면 마지막 재림의 때도 노아 때와 같다고 하셨으므로 노아와 같은 믿음을 가진 중심인물을 통해 역사하시는 것입니다. 또한 하나님께 의로 인정받은 사람은 ‘완전한 자’라는 칭호를 받게 됩니다(창6:9). 왜냐하면 의인의 생활은 절대 거짓이 없고 그 입에 거짓말이 없기 때문입니다(계14:5).

끝으로, 노아의 믿음은 하나님의 말씀을 듣고 방주를 예비한 믿음입니다. 이것은 하나님께서 장차 올 홍수 심판 가운데서 노아와 그 가족을 구원하기 위해 미리 예비하신 ‘예비처’라 할 수 있습니다. 홍수 심판의 환난 기간 동안 노아와 그 가족들이 방주에서 보호를 받는 축복을 받았던 것처럼 하나님께서는 노아와 같은 믿음을 가진 성도들에게 환난 가운데서도 보호를 받을 수 있는 신령한 예비처를 마련하여 주십니다(사26:20, 계12:6).

<기도제목>

인자의 임함은 노아 때와 같다고 하셨습니다. 노아와 같이 보지 못한 일을 믿고, 말씀에 온전히 순종함으로 완전한 자를 칭호를 얻어 예비처로 인도함을 받는 하루가 되기를 위해 기도하십시오.

Matthew 24:37-39

The Word of Life

As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took the mall away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

Noah is a perfect role model for saints who are hoping for the second coming from the perspective that Noah not only received salvation through his faith but led his family to salvation too. He was acknowledged by God and called a complete person in a time that was filled with sin. He revered God with a fearful heart and obeyed His Word. We must follow Noah’s faith and become saints who are acknowledged by God. Noah’s faith was a faith that believed what was not visible. Although he only received warnings of the things that he could not see, he believed in that Word and with reverence prepared the Ark and took on a faith that foresaw the flood that would engulf the ground and destroy mankind. Furthermore, he had a faith that prepared for the future world hence God deemed his faith righteous and led Noah and his entire family into the Ark.

As it is written “I have found you righteous in this generation” (Gen 7:1), People like Noah whose faith was deemed righteous will always become the central figures in God’s Work of Redemption. If God judged the world based on Noah as a standard it will be the same in the final coming and God will work through a man who has faith like Noah. Also, the person who has been acknowledged by God will receive the title of being a ‘complete person’ (Gen 6:9) as the one who is righteous lives a life that has no falsehood and has a mouth that speaks no lies (Rev 14:5).

Finally, Noah’s faith was a faith that listened to the Word of God and prepared the Ark. The Ark can be called a ‘preparatory residence’ that God prepared for Noah and his family in advance in order to save them from the future flood judgment. Just as Noah and his family received protection inside the Ark during the time of the flood judgment, God prepares a holy residing place for the saints who have faith like Noah (Isa 26:20, Rev 12:6).

Prayer Title

It is written that the coming of the Son of Man will be like the days of Noah. Pray that you may be like Noah and believe in the things that cannot be seen and by obeying the Word completely be called a complete person and be led to the preparatory residing place.
