예배는 하나님의 말씀을 뿌리는 시간

막4:14, 20

생명의 말씀

“뿌리는 자는 말씀을 뿌리는 것이라... 좋은 땅에 뿌리웠다는 것은 곧 말씀을 듣고 받아 삼십배와 육십배와 백배의 결실을 하는 자니라”

‘예배’의 본질적인 기능에 주목하자면 그것은 하나님의 말씀을 뿌리는 시간입니다. 그러므로 성도는 예배 시간에 그 어느 때보다 집중해서 하나님의 말씀을 들음으로 귀중한 씨를 받아서 삼십배, 육십배, 백배의 결실을 맺어야 합니다. 만약 예배 시간에 집중하지 못하고 졸고 있다면, 마13:25절 말씀과 같이 그 시간은 원수가 와서 가라지를 뿌리는 시간으로 변질되고 맙니다. 똑같이 예배를 드려도 한 사람은 하나님의 말씀의 씨를 받아 후에 귀중한 결실을 맺고, 다른 한 사람은 원수의 가라지 씨를 받아 악한 열매를 드러내게 된다는 말씀입니다. 그래서 예배야말로 성도의 모든 생활의 ‘기본’이 되는 것입니다. 기본동작이 제대로 돼야 모든 운동이며, 제식행렬이 올바로 이루어질 수 있듯이 예배가 제대로 될 때 성도의 신앙 생활이 풍성해지게 마련입니다.

예배는 하나님의 말씀의 씨를 뿌리는 시간이므로 정확한 때와 장소가 중요합니다. 예배는 아무데서나 드리는 것이 아니라 하나님께서 지정한 장소에 나와서 드려야합니다. 그곳이 바로 ‘교회’입니다. “네 하나님 여호와께서 택하신 곳에서 너는 칠일 동안 네 하나님 여호와 앞에서 절기를 지키라”(신16:15)고 분명히 말씀하셨습니다. 그러므로 예배는 하나님께서 택하신 곳에 나와서, 하나님 앞에서 온전히 드려야 합니다. 이것이 성도의 올바른 신앙의 기본자세입니다.

또한 예배는 정확인 때에 맞춰야합니다. 하나님께서 이스라엘 자손과 ‘영원한 표징’으로 삼은 것이 안식일입니다(출31:17). 이 안식일에 교회에 나와 예배를 드려야합니다. 그날은 하나님을 만나는 날입니다. 마음과 정성과 뜻을 다해서 주일날 교회 나와 신령과 진정으로 예배드릴 때 “너와 네 후손이 복을 받아 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 주시는 땅에서 한 없이 오래살리라”(신4:400는 말씀이 이루어지는 것입니다.

지금까지 여러분은 예배 시간에 어떤 씨를 뿌리고 왔습니까? 예배에 집중하고, 하나님이 정하신 때와 장소를 기억하고 지키며 신령과 진정으로 온전한 예배를 드릴 수 있도록 기도하십시오. 예배시간마다 하나님의 말씀의 씨를 많이 받아 풍성한 결실을 맺을 수 있기를 위해서 기도하며, 실천하는 하루가 되시길 바랍니다.

Worship is the Time We Wow the Word of God

Mark 4:14, 20

The Word of Life

“The farmer sows the words...Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.”

If we are to focus on the original use of worship, we are able to see that it is the time when we sow the Word of God. Therefore a saint must show a higher level of concentration during worship and listen to the Word of God in order for them to receive the precious seed to bear thirty, sixty, and a hundred times more fruit. If they are unable to concentrate and are sleeping, it tells us in Mark 13:25 that” the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.” Even if two people worship at the same time one person may receive the seed of God’s Word and later produce precious fruit but the other may receive the weeds of the enemy and reveal wicked fruit.

Therefore worship becomes the foundation of a saint’s life. Just as we need to know the basic rules to play any sport, when we worship properly our spiritual life will become abundant.

Because worship is the time we sow the seeds of God’s Word it is important that we set an exact time and place. We must worship at a place God has designated for us and not worship wherever place we choose as that chosen place is the church.

In Deuteronomy 16:15 God clearly stated, “For seven days celebrate the festival to the LORD your God at the place the LORD will choose. For the LORD your God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete.” Hence, we must go to the place God has chosen and worship wholly before God for it is the correct form of faith.

Furthermore, worship must be done at an exact time. The day of rest is the eternal sign that God gave to the Israelites (Exo 31:17). On this day of rest we need to come to church and give worship. That is the day that we meet God. When we come to church on Sunday with all our hearts and worship in spirit and in truth the promise given to us in Deut 4:40 will be fulfilled “Keep his decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the LORD your God gives you for all time.”

Prayer Title

What kind of seed did you sow during worship until now? Pray that you can remember the place and time that God has chosen and concentrate and worship wholly in spirit and in truth. Also, pray that you will be able to receive the seed of God’s word in abundance every time you worship and bear plenty of fruit and practice this throughout your day.
