만남의 축복

눅7:37-38

생명의 말씀

“그 동네에 죄인인 한 여자가 있어 예수께서 바리새인의 집에 앉으셨음을 알고 향유 담은 옥합을 가지고 와서 예수의 뒤로 그 발 곁에 서서 울며 눈물로 그 발을 적시고 자기 머리털로 씻고 그 발에 입 맞추고 향유를 부으니”

 성경을 볼 때 숙명 아래 살던 사람이 사명의 삶으로 전환하게 되는 많은 사건들을 만나게 됩니다. 그런데 이 사건들의 핵심은 바로 ‘만남’에서 비롯됐음을 발견하게 됩니다. 유구한 세월 동안 사람들은 이러한 만남을 동경하면서도 만나지 못하고 있습니다. 메시야가 오셨음을 듣고, 보면서도 만나지 못했습니다. 이단자로 알고, 나사렛 목수의 아들로, 마리아의 아들로 알았습니다. 그래서 모두들 외로움과 아픔 가운데 살면서 해결을 받지 못했던 것입니다. 그러나 세리와 창녀, 죄인들은 그분 앞에 나아감으로 ‘만남’의 축복을 받았습니다. 

  왕하13:14-19절 말씀을 볼 때 이스라엘 왕 요아스가 임종 전의 엘리사 선지자를 만났을 때 아람 사람을 세 번 치게 될 것이라는 응답의 말씀을 받았습니다. 아람 나라의 나아만 장군은 그 집의 몸종을 통해 엘리사 선지자를 만남으로 문둥병이 깨끗하게 나음을 입었습니다(왕하5:1-14). 또한 시몬의 집에 왔던 한 죄인된 여자는 예수님을 만남으로 죄 사함의 축복을 받았습니다. 집 밖에서는 쓸모없는 죄인에 불과하지만, 집 안에서 예수를 만났을 때 죄로 얼룩진 삶에 결정적인 전환점을 맞이하게 됐습니다. 그러므로 우리는 이들처럼 말씀을 만나야 됩니다. 

  태초의 말씀 되시는 그분과의 만남으로 진정한 행복을 얻게 됩니다. 세계 도처에 빈부격차와 전쟁과 기근과 동서남북에 수많은 장벽들이 있지만 말씀과 만날 때 이 모든 장벽들이 무너지게 됩니다. 마지막 때 이와 같이 말씀과의 만남이 없다면 너와 나의 만남도 없는 단조로운 삶 밖에 되지 못합니다. 주님과 만나기 위해 운명의 사슬과 구습, 악의 장벽을 무너뜨리고 새 역사 창조의 역군으로 거듭나는 역사가 있어야 합니다. 죄악과 타락의 어두운 밤, 말씀과 만날 것을 촉구하는 새벽 닭 울음 소리가 여러분의 가슴에 울려 퍼지기를 바라겠습니다. 이는 긴긴 밤이 지나고 새 아침이 밝아오고 있다는 말씀이 기상나팔인 것입니다.

하나님과 나 사이에 잊어버린 만남을 회복할 때 비로소 죄 문제가 해결되고, 이 세상에서 겪는 삶의 문제들이 해결된다는 것을 깨닫고, 오늘 하루도 잊어버렸던 만남을 회복할 수 있도록 기도하십시오.

The Word of Life

And there was a woman in the city who was a sinner; and when she learned that He was reclining at the table in the Pharisee's house, she brought an alabaster vial of perfume, and standing behind Him at His feet, weeping, she began to wet His feet with her tears, and kept wiping them with the hair of her head, and kissing His feet and anointing them with the perfume. 

In the Bible there are many occurrences where people performed their purpose and we can learn from their actions.  In the scripture reading the purpose of the occurrence was “the meeting”.  Many of the Israelites yearned to meet God, however many heard and saw the Messiah, but they did not meet Him.  Rather they ridiculed Him to be blasphemous and to be the son of a carpenter and Mary.  Their worries and pain were not resolved, while the sinners such as the tax collectors and prostitutes were blessed through meeting Jesus. 

In 2 Kings 13:14-19, king Joash came to see Elisha at his deathbed.  Elisha told him that he would defeat the Arameans.  Upon obeying Elisha’s orders, General Naaman of Aram was completely healed of leprosy (2 Kings 5:1-14).  In addition, the woman who came to meet Jesus at Simon’s house was blessed; her sins were cleansed.  Outside the house, she was worthless but once she met Jesus inside the house, she was transformed into a new person.  Therefore we too need to meet the word.

 We can achieve true happiness when we meet our Lord who is word from the time began.  While the world is unstable with wars, famine, and hurdles everywhere, we can overcome them when we meet the word.  If you do not meet the word, then in the end times you will face the unbearable. In order to meet our Lord, it is important that our old habits and customs are broken down and welcome new works of creation to be reborn.  The sinful and fallen day will transform upon meeting the word into an early dawn morning awaken by the rooster’s crow.  The long dark night has passed and a new morning has arrived. 

Prayer Request:
When we recover the forgotten encounter with God, then all our sins are resolved.  As we believe that all our problems are taken cared of, let us pray to recover the forgotten encounter.
