승리의 비결은 오직 감사

골4:1-2

생명의 말씀

“상전들아 의와 공평을 종들에게 베풀지니 너희에게도 하늘에 상전이 계심을 알지어다 기도를 항상 힘쓰고 기도에 감사함으로 깨어있으라”

사도바울이 감옥에서 기록한 ‘옥중서신’을 통해 우리는 참된 감사와 기쁨의 의미를 깨닫게 됩니다. 이 옥중서신에서 가장 많이 등장하는 단어는 놀랍게도 ‘감사와 기쁨’입니다. 항상 기뻐하고 범사에 감사함으로 구하는 삶! 이것이 사도바울이 감옥에서 성도들에게 전한 하나님의 말씀이었습니다. 그래서 사도바울은 빌4:6절에서 “너희 구할 것을 감사함으로 하나님께 아뢰라”고 말씀하고 있습니다.

이는 우리의 일상에서 하나님께 구할 것이 있을 때 먼저 감사하고, 다음에 내게 필요한 것을 구하라는 말입니다. 감사가 선행돼야 한다는 ‘감사 우선의 원칙’을 천명해 주는 말씀입니다. 오병이어의 기적도 먼저 자신의 먹을 것을 내놓은 소년의 감사가 있었기에 가능했습니다. 또한 그것으로 이적을 행하기에 앞서 예수님께서는 먼저 축사하시고 감사를 드렸습니다. 미약하지만 그것이라도 주신 것에 대해 감사하였고, 하나님께서 큰 이적으로 모든 무리를 먹일 음식을 주실 것을 미리 감사했던 것입니다.

죽은 나사로를 살리실 때도 예수님은 먼저 ‘감사’를 드렸습니다(요11:41). 이는 나사로를 통해 나타내실 하나님의 영광을 미리 보았기 때문입니다. 그래서 사도바울은 에베소 교회에게 “누추함과 어리석은 말이나 희롱의 말이 마땅치 아니하니 돌이켜 감사하는 말을 하라”(엡5:4)고 하였던 것입니다.

감사함으로 사는 사람은 보는 눈이 달라집니다. 현재 가지고 있는 것에 감사하십시오. 그래야 욕심이 없어집니다. 감사할 때 하늘의 문과 땅의 문이 열립니다. 기회의 문, 미래의 문을 여는 열쇠가 바로 ‘감사’입니다. 우리의 일상에서도 기도에 감사함으로 깨어 있도록 해야 합니다(골4:2). 공동번역 성경에는 “항상 깨어 있으면서도 감사하는 마음으로 꾸준히 기도하십시오”라고 하였습니다.

우리의 삶 속에 놀라운 이적과 승리를 가져오는 비결은 바로 감사입니다. 오늘 하루의 삶 속에서 이처럼 감사의 깃발을 앞세우고 나아감으로 승리의 깃발을 꽂을 수 있도록 기도하십시오.

Secret to Success is Only Thanksgiving

Colossians 4:1-2

The Word of Life

"Masters, grant to your slaves justice and fairness, knowing that you too have a Master in heaven. Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving;

Apostle Paul was in prison when he wrote the letter to Colossae regarding the true thanksgiving and joy. Throughout this letter, the words that appear often are “thanksgiving and joy” - life that is always rejoicing and giving thanks in everything! This is Apostle Paul’s message from prison. In Philippians 4:6, he said, with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Before we ask God for anything, first offer Him thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is priority when letting your requests known to God. Because the little boy was thankful, he offered his lunch of two fish and five loaves of bread to the disciples. Then when Jesus offered thanksgiving, a miracle appeared to multiply two fish and five loaves of bread. While it was few, Jesus offered thanksgiving and a miracle of God fed over 5,000 men.

Jesus offered thanksgiving when He rose Lazarus from the dead (John 11:41). Jesus foresaw the glory that would be revealed through Lazarus. Apostle Paul told the church of Ephesus, “there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks” (Ephesians 5:4).

When you live by offering thanksgiving, your view of life will change. Be thankful for what you currently have. Then your greed will disappear. When you offer thanksgiving, the doors of heaven and door will open. Key to opening the door of opportunity and future is thanksgiving. Colossians 4:2 states to keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving. In another translation, it translates – be alert all the time and pray with a heart of thanksgiving.

Key to miracles and victories in your life is to offer thanksgiving. Let us pray we can place the guidon of thanksgiving and victory in our lives.
